I would be careful with box store plywood. I looking at some oak plywood at Lowes, you could put your finger through the veneer on that ****. Some manufacturers leave large holes in the inner ply's and cover it with veneer. In my limited experience, COO matters.

I did one last year. Awful is spot on, would not do that again.

Just peeked back at the beginning of this thread. Wow has this come a long ways!

After months of patrolling Craigslist, I finally snagged a 15" Clausing for $325. With a new VFD on it, and wiring, etc I am a little over $500 into it. Part of the equation is how patient are you willing to be? Deals can be had, but you have to be super vigilant.

Our local industrial supply house sells scraps, although they won't call them scraps :). They have no issue dealing with the public, and their scrap prices are great.

I discovered the hood on my mustang is sharp. Used my head to make sure. Also updated some under hood hardware in the process.

I priced a 30x40 with in floor heat last year, I don't recall the thickness. This was for a stick built so it included a footer, and there was dirt work to level things out. $22k.
