For those of you with multiple Liftmaster garage door openers

Have you tried deleting the codes in all three machines? the power or units being on one circuit should not matter. Rolling code is just that every time you use the remote it is suppose to "roll" the code. How old is your ceiling mounted opener? it could be a solid state unit that did not roll...

    Liftmaster 3800

. The unit will sometimes flash 9 times, even with the terminals jumped or open. 9-Flashes = the cable tension monitor, as for the limits have you checked the collar that connects the opener to the torsion spring tube. this needs to be tight, if it slips it can cause you to loose your limit...

The liftmaster 3800 will not work with the WD TMS system. the winding shaft/s are at the end of the tube on the TMS system. Plus the TMS system has a tear dropped shape to it. Sorry,

Richard Wilcox is located in Canada, when I dealt with them they had a decent door. I was using the polyurethane door thou. this was 7 years ago.

    Garage door opener

I would be interested in a drawbar on a high lift door (video) over 24", this is where the industry starts commercial high lift. Yes there is many under, but this is the common starting point. You can use a drawbar, on a highlift with greater then 24" using a dummy top section. Cobra is right...

    Garage Door Opener Mounting Locations

Why not convert what you have to torsion spring, at the same time high lift your door if needed. This should be able to be done, with out costing an arm and a leg.

    Insulating the garage door

You could throw some sheet insulation in, but a good insulated door with thermal breaks would be better and seal better.

9 x9 Wayne galton quote for their 5200 model R15

That is a loaded question, are you getting openers as well? Is this new construction? Where you live can play a part in the price as well, it really depends, but this is not out of line and real close to what I would do this for if it is a retro-fit type job. Wayne Dalton's Lowes doors are the...

9 x9 Wayne galton quote for their 5200 model R15

We have put in this door, it is a nice door. The ones we have put up worked great and look good. You are right, it is one of the doors from their commercial product line. As for the second part, Wayne Dalton is like alot of other companys. They have their low end/builder type doors and then the...

    Garage Door Question

Wouldn't it be to the first obstruction? he could have a beam 15" back at the and sticking down 8". May not totally play into the headroom at the header. At least the way I was trained, you need to measure up from the header/ opening and then the nearest lowest obstruction. You may have 20" at...

    Yet another Liftmaster 3800 question...

I'm sorry I should have been more specific, I meant on the RH side inside the track below the torsion tube. You can defeat this switch as said above, but it is there for a reason. It is a little differant then the photo eyes, this is there to insure the cables or door has not slacked. This...

What do I look for in a garage door installer?

I will take a stab at this, you said " your not sure if you just need to repalce the opener". I would try these steps because we need more info then this. 1.disengage you opener via the manual release rope 1a. Can you lower and raise your door by hand, with out a lot of effort? it...

    Yet another Liftmaster 3800 question...

it looks like you notched out the wood ,so I will assume the spacing there is very tight. May not be as pretty, but can you mount this on the right hand side of the door, inside looking out up closer to the drum? That should give you the correct spacing required, so you do not activate the switch.

Jackshaft garage door openers - do they work?

I'm not sure where your friend is getting his info, when they first came out Lift master had some issue's with the collar and cable tension device. The bugs have been worked out though, we install them daily with no problems. Your friend my be talking about a recent tech bulletin, that LM put...
