Drill Press Stand,Cast with Vert. Dovetail?

Larry g The table had a crank under it. The cast hole was broken, and the rod was missing when I got it. I will probably repair it and make a handle if it turns out to be a Buffalo. Thanks for the measurements, I will check into it this weekend. Dbl.R

    Wilton 5" Vise

autopts, see my thread titled [Drill Press Stand] one of the members thinks that it's a Buffalo Forge, anyway that's what this 9500 was mounted on. The stand is very heavy and has a vertical dove tail way and counter weight in the main tube. I'm going to try and sell it or use it as a barter...

Drill Press Stand,Cast with Vert. Dovetail?

Larry g and Zeppe807, Thanks for contributing, Larry anyway you could send out the hole centers off the base mounting? If this stand is a Buffalo model, someone out there may be looking for this base. Seems a waste to use it as a vise stand. Dbl.R

Drill Press Stand,Cast with Vert. Dovetail?

I have a heavy cast iron stand that had a vise and a arbor press mounted on top. It appears to be very similar to a Edlund style drill press base. It has a counter weight inside to offset the drill table weight, and a vertical dove tail way. Does anyone recognize this stand? Attached are the...

    Wilton 5" Vise

Hey Outlaw, Thanks for posting. I was lucky enough to pick up a 9350 at the same time, and while inspecting it I noticed the center of the base has a short centering dowel pin in a blind hole. So when I picked up the 9500 that Autopts identified, I noticed right away the same hole. So the...

    Wilton 5" Vise

Autopts, Many thanks for the info! I could not dig up anything on this model. The original base would be a nice touch. Probably no luck finding one of those. I was lucky enough to find a 9350 at the same sale, it has a tighter tolerance in the tube than the one I posted. Dbl.R

    Wilton 5" Vise

Also if the vise was designed as a stationary model, would it still have the center button hole in the base? Dbl.R

    The VISES of Garage Journal

I stumbled on to two of these. One was a 4350 and a lot of info was available for it. It's in great shape and very tight in tolerance. The one I posted is larger and I can't seem to find anything about it. Dbl.R

Well it looks like the pics came up after all. Any Wilton vise people know if the vise was designed to be stationary, would it have the button hole in the base? Dbl.R
