    Sealed floor?

I know this subject has been beat to death but I wanted to get some input here. Just bought a house and wanted to epoxy the garage floor before I move all of my junk in. I've spent the last couple of weeks researching and reading everything I can. For the life of me I can't tell if the floor...

    Heat exchanger cleaner

Well the Eco Lyme worked decently well, enough to drop my approach temps by 20° which keeps me far enough away from a high temp shutdown. If I had time to do multiple applications and rinses I could probably get all of the scale off but this unit is due for replacement in a few months anyway...

    Heat exchanger cleaner

Going to give this stuff a shot when I'm back up at this site in a couple of weeks. https://www.grainger.com/product/NU-CALGON-Scale-Remover-Scale-Remover-55VE73

    Heat exchanger cleaner

Cooler is 6" thick and 72x60" takes a day to pull out/put back in and we can't be down longer than a few hours at a time unfortunately. It's not the environment that caused this, its the previous tech being lazy and not cleaning the cooler, Then running a sprinkler on it constantly to bring...

    Heat exchanger cleaner

I'll be in there with a pressure washer regardless to clean all the other gunk off of the cooler. Just was looking to see if anyone had any experience with a specific chemical that is good for eating up the hard water deposits.

    Heat exchanger cleaner

Hey guys, I have recently taken over a site that has an air compressor with some really bad approach temps on it's AC/OC. Judging from all the white crustys built up on this thing, it looks like the last guy thought running a sprinkler on it was a permanent solution. Can anyone recommend a...

    DIN rail 120V GFPE breaker

This will be supplemental. This for a very short run of heat trace for some instrumentation on a standpipe. Control panel is 2' from where the heat trace will be vs 100' from where the breaker panel that feeds the control panel is.

    Alternating Lead/Lag Compressor Control

Are you able to adjust the load pressure on these or is that factory set? I see there's a 4-20mA transducer instead of an actual pressure switch.

    DIN rail 120V GFPE breaker

Thanks, forgot to check Rockwell, looks like they make a 15A that can use a DIN rail adapter for a reasonable $449.00 🙃 sounds about right for AB.... I've never worked with Altech or heard of them for that matter, are they any good? I saw their stuff when searching google but the price...

    DIN rail 120V GFPE breaker

Does anyone know of a reputable manufacturer that makes a DIN rail mount GFPE breaker 15A trip or lower? I've looked into UL1053 RCCB's but I haven't been able to find anything 120v and 15A trip. I figured these would exist since you can get panel mount GFPE's all day long from every...

    Taper lock/QD hub stuck

I twisted off a grade 8, I just don't think 1/4-20 has enough to push these off, there's a reason you're not supposed to put anything like anti-seize on the tapers. I had a rosebud on them, just don't want to get them hot to the point that I cook the shaft seal out of the motor. Oh I like...

    Taper lock/QD hub stuck

Anyone have any tricks to get a QD hub freed up? (sometimes people call these Taperlocks...same but different). I've got six 1-1/8" hubs on fans that are frozen solid; looks like someone gooped everything up with anti-seize(idiots) and then ran the pull bolts up as tight as possible. These...

    Old wire

Thanks Bert, I didn't notice there were two conductors in there.

I'm in the process of trying to convince him to.

    Old wire

So my friend bought an old house(1907) in St. Louis and this is what the garage is wired up with. Anyone run in to this stuff before? Looks almost like what you would see in an old airplane or ship, especially with the tinned conductors and what looks like a shield. Looks like a silvery cloth...
