Its not the best picture but that is similar to how I mounted my NewAge cabinets. I wanted to be able to easily sweep underneath them (or fill that space with stuff!). I rested them on the small concrete ledge, bolted them all together, and used 4 or 5 of the course thread lags right into the studs.
I'm curious about the "feel" of the free flow without shoes? We are considering tiles (vs. epoxy) in a garage at our lake cottage and suspect there will be heavy foot traffic without shoes. Trying to decide between the free-flow style and the coin pattern regular tiles. I am concerned that the...
I did this exact thing about 5 years ago. Added a 24x30 extension to my existing garage, but because it was tied to the house they had to pour the footing 4’ underground and build a proper frost footing (we are in ND). My contractor did a good job with the project- 2x6 construction, four high...
Great thread and excellent work on the restore Graham! I'm definitely subscribed.
Reading through the posts and seeing names like Wolfgang, Haud, Doty is music to my ears. Doug is a great guy and ran a chassis fab business in Sioux Falls area until just recently. He was always good for a story...
I'd second this method of installation. Set mine up on the "curb" around the outside of the garage about 6" above the floor. It makes sweeping under them much easier and I have a nice place to store snowmobile lift, dollies, etc. The bench is not real clean in this picture, but I have been very...
We live in the Midwest too and having vehicles parked inside is a must for at least 6 months of the year! In 2014 we added 24x30 out the back of existing attached 3 stall garage. Contractor who did the framing and exterior work convinced me to put a regular garage door between the two spaces and...
Just read this thread - I have the same setup with 3 loops of approx 75' each pex. This is the second winter on my system in North Dakota. It works well to keep garage about 60 even when it is -20 outside. However, about January, I started getting the "10" code on my boiler. Took the cover off...
Sign looks great...plus the plaque of Hodnett in the Apple car hanging on the wall gets a big thumbs up from me! Life long sprint car fan here from Schatz country.
Looks great. I have all the supplies in my garage ready to be applied when I can get away from work for a few days. Any advice you can share? Did you grind the floor or just acid wash?
Thanks
