Congratulations on retirement. I am still a few years away from it myself and have often thought of how I would thin out my tools. While it would be nice to sell most everything as a package deal. That limits you, as not too many people would have the funds to do so and most who are working in...
Redbacks been wearing them for the past 20 years (not the same pair. They are low cut and slip on all day comfort on concrete floors. Usually the Cornwell and Matco dealers carry them sizing is different than American sizing I have also ordered them online with no issues.
yes I have seen this with my own box and others as well. It has always been something at the rear on one drawer holding up the lock bar. For me it was a test lead, this can happen to any of the toolbox brands that rely on a lock bar at the rear.
I have had a 2 stroke weed eater brand handheld for the past 20 years. It's had the carb cleaned once about 2 years ago. The muffler used to get all carboned up and would need the spark arrestor screen cleaned out with brake clean about every year. I finally just left it out of the muffler and...
I have rented the OEM branded one from autozone several times, it isn't snap on quality BUt it got what I needed done. They sell it for 160 I think it also has a lifetime warranty.
I too have low back issues. Have moved into a shop foreman position over the last 4 years. It's a different kind of challenge for sure. I wouldn't want to do this job unless I had a good supervisor and crew which I do now. Makes it easier for sure, still have some frustrating days as do the...
I wish that my floor had better prep. I did mine 15 years ago on new concrete and didn't in my opinion do a good prep before. It looked great and still looks ok in places, but it flaking off in all the high traffic areas. So take your time on the prep cause once its down the prep to do it a...
Most do but why would you buy it from the dealer? If you do a little shopping around you could save quite a bit. My local dealer will not budge on prices even if you paying cash. Needless to say he doesn't make too many sales at the shop I work at.
I think just go with plus and boots as well. The replacement coils are just as likely to fail as the existing ones even more so if you replace with some aftermarket coils. Just replace the coils as needed.
I too have back issues from working in the heavy equipment/truck field for over 30 years now. The last 5 years I have moved into a foreman position which I like most days. I still have some hands on equipment mainly help my guys with diagnosis which I really like and some light repairs and...
I don't think it will cause much of a problem with the right blade for the occasional metal cutting. Remember not to let too much heat build up. I have been know to use a air nozzle blowing at the blade to help with cooling when doing cuts with equipment like that.
Been wearing Redbacks for more than 20 years. My employer pays for a new pair every year. They last much longer than that though. I work in heavy equipment/truck repair very dirty at times lots of climbing and slick surfaces. Redbacks do the job for me and several of the other guys here. Some...
