the DC test light is almost a short to ground with just the light bulb being the load.
hmmm i guess the headlights in your car or starter are also just a short to ground with a load
test probe light does nothing for checking a ground circuit

hi there I have been looking at those gray pro serries tool boxes for a while how do you like it? does it seem like a box that could hold heavy items like wrenches up to 2'' and 3/4 and 1'' drive sockets any help would be great thanks in advance
if the shop you work in does not have an avr machine then yes they are useful they make for a good quick test I use the starter current draw gauge more than the altronator one

if you must get some extra hieght use blocks under the jack stand and remember blocks should always be ''cribbed'' like a log cabin if going more than one block high I have used wood blocks for years on trucks and equiptment up to 100 tons
mr holeshot you are correct. I dont know how to explain it properly but the flex in the shaft seems to help with ''break away torque'' the same way a ''flex bar'' aka a breaker bar helps you remove stuck bolts when you lean on a breaker bar it will flex a small amount sort of like winding up...
