    Need Input-Choosing Lift

Yeah, I've noticed that as well. Not too big a deal for me either. Had a 1000lb dune buggy on it the other day and it was pretty slow coming down with that. Comes down nice and fast with my Dually on it though...:) Sean

    Need Input-Choosing Lift

I have the XP-10CX and it seems to be working out great so far. Got it in early Jan. Installed it myself in a day. (with a little help standing up the posts). Had it delivered to the local freight terminal and picked it up with a flat trailer, then used an engine hoist to get it off the...

    how tall for xp-10 ?

I'm across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge on the eastern shore. About 20 minutes past the bridge. I used to work in the Lanham/New Carrollton area when I had my shop. So, you got your lift delivered and up already? That was quick. Did the installation go smoothly? Sean

    how tall for xp-10 ?

Mine worked out pretty close once the columns were shimmed and plumbed up. There was still some slight differences in the arm pad heights (maybe 1/2" to 3/4" or so) but I was able to swap the arms around to get them all even. I suppose it was due some slight inconsistency in the arm...

    how tall for xp-10 ?

Thanks. It really helps with everything. Since it is a symmetrical lift I figured the extra width would help with opening the doors, etc. I went with symmetrical because of the rear engine cars, even though they are light, all the weight is still hanging off the back. I had both sym. and...

    how tall for xp-10 ?

I have an XP-10CX. Like livewire said it is 145" tall. I have a 13' 1" ceiling and I have a good foot above it. I absolutely love this lift (My back and knees love it as well ) I mostly work on aircooled vw racecars, but have had my wife's minivan and my 97 Chevy Crewcab Dually up it with no...

Well...Decision made unless someone changes my mind

I too after a couple months of debate and scouring these boards have decided on the VCT for my 40 x 60. Mostly for the same reasons you mentioned. I almost pulled the trigger on the Por15 Floor Armor back in August to get in before the price increase. Reading what Value and Brebar had to say...

Hot Dawg btu rating's...which to choose?

I'm getting ready to install two 75k units in a 40 x 60 x 13. Might be a little overkill but oh well. I was gonna go with 60k's but for a $20 price difference I went the bigger ones. Sean

    60" ceiling fan

Thanks Tom. Good to know. I'll have to check that out. Not that I'll ever climb up and reverse them all anyway.....but good to know. 5' is a lot of space to keep clear. I actually had two of mine interfere with the angle iron coming down to my garage doors. (slight miscalculation on my part)...

    60" ceiling fan

Correction....These fans are NOT reversible. My Bad. I thought they were as the instruction sheet mentioned the reverse switch but I guess that pertained to a different model. No biggy though. I installed them and they work awesome. I set them on the lowest setting and it's like a wind...

    VCT under a lift?

My slab is 6" thick 4000psi, and under where the lift posts will go I made it 10" thick in about a 4 foot diameter area. I think I will cut the tile out around the lift posts as you suggested. No sense in taking any chances. Thanks for the info.... Sean

    60" ceiling fan

Charles, Will do. I'm just finishing a 40 x 60 x 13' ceiling. Drywall's going up now so I should be installing them in the next few days. The total height of the fan using the smaller 6" downrod is 18". I'll let you know how they work out. Sean
