    1/2 inch air impact question

I have a 35MAX, and it’s good enough to be the impact I use 85% of the time, but it’s not very strong. Extensions seem to kill its power worse than other impacts I’ve used too, I’ve had some bolts where I’ve needed to use an 8 inch or so extension with a universal swivel on the end and it can’t...

    SK ratchet mechanism loose

I recently took apart my old SK 3/8 ratchet, cleaned it all up, cleaned out the years of hardened gunk, and put it back together. But now the whole ratcheting mechanism has about 1/4" of play in it where it will slide back or forward in the handle. Do the snap rings wear thin or something? I...

    JET Impact Wrenches

Anyone have experience with JET impact wrenches? They seem like more of an industrial brand. I've been shopping for a 1/2 compact impact wrench, and they have one on sale at amazon for $100 right now, most sites list it near $180 usual price. I can't find reviews for their impacts anywhere...

    Let's see your toolbox.

Whats that cart that the craftsman is on? Homemade or a repurposed welding cart or something? I've thought about doing something similar.

Which Era/Manufacturer of Craftsman is the best?

I should have worded it as “highest quality” instead of “best.” I’m not concerned with it as a collectible. All I was really trying to get at was that everyone talks about how Craftsman quality has gone down hill, used to be so much better, more durable, etc. If new Craftsman is the low point...

Which Era/Manufacturer of Craftsman is the best?

I didn’t see a thread on here specifically about this. But what era/marking is considered the best for Craftsman? There’s the New Britain stuff from the 40’s, SK, Williams, and a ton others, but is there one that’s considered better than the rest? Or is most vintage Craftsman kind of even? I...

26" bottom with a side cabinet?

I'd probably get the HF box and side chest, which definitely has some more weight to it than a Craftman or something. The side cabinet would just have my smaller random things like electrical/soldering stuff, air chucks, punches, panel poppers, etc. Everything heavy is going into the main box...

26" bottom with a side cabinet?

Does anyone run a side cabinet on a 26" box? I've heard it can get wobbly, but seems like a good way to get some extra space without going all the way to a big roll chest.

Another new LED light from Harbor Freight - $5

Bought one of these, real bright light for a couple bucks. The magnet isn't the strongest, and it fell about 6ft on concrete and now doesn't turn on. For at home use, definitely a good buy, but not tough enough for a shop. Will probably get another one someday, and keep it at the house.

    Import Brands Rebranding from Factory?

There was the story a while ago of the Husky/Matco double stamped socket. I've heard rumors online of various cheaper brands such as HF, Husky, Tekton, Carlyle, Gearwrench, Dewalt hand tools, Kobalt, etc all basically coming from the same factories, and being the same tools just with with...

    Finding Old Craftsman Lock Replacement

I'm trying to find locks to replace the two on my craftsman roll cart and top chest. The locks that were in there were really beat up, and the keys barely turned. I bought the 26" set sears sells new, but it didn't fit. Strangely enough the lock that was meant for the bottom box worked fine in...
