    Syphoning old gas

I wish I would have thought or heard of that decades ago.

New Tekton Ratchet coming “in the next few months”?

Another reason for announcing a product before it is available is to tempt people that were considering buying something like it soon. If they are big fans of Tekton the might wait for the "Exciting new wrench". Also, it generates publicity like this thread as others have said. I can't imagine...

Oops I bought a mag drill

I don't know much about tools but would a drill like this be good at drilling through the thick steel walls of a safe in a bank? A friend of mine wants to know.

Small LED Work Light with no fru-fru

Of the lights mentioned here so far, only the Braun has a battery that is easily replaced. You can get a spare battery and keep it charged to use if necessary.

WD-40 - What is it actually good for??

I believe the main ingredient in WD40 is kerosene which is the main ingredient in diesel fuel which is much cheaper. I use diesel fuel as a degreaser and I use Goo Gone or lighter fluid (xylene) to remove labels. I use alcohol to displace water. If I wanted a painted surface to look good I would...

Bit Adapter for 1/4" socket wrenches or drivers

Thanks for the input. Today I also bought a 4" VIM bit ratchet wrench and your input has confirmed that was a good decision. Here is another reason to have an adapter. Occasionally I need to switch between several different bits during a project and rather than switch bits on one driver it is...

Bit Adapter for 1/4" socket wrenches or drivers

I read a couple of threads about bit ratchets and saw no mention of bit adapters and that surprised me because I think they are a good option. One end attaches to any 1/4" ratchet wrench or socket driver and the other end holds the bit via spring or magnet. I just learned about the adaptors and...

    Modular screwdriver setups?

I recently bought a "Bit set" like this and a couple of magnetic bit driver handles. Is this what you had in mind? https://www.amazon.com/Milwaukee-Shockwave-Impact-Driver-55-Piece/dp/B01N4ALV72/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=milwaukee+bit+set&qid=1599539325&sr=8-4

    socket rails

Me too. Tekton's twist-to-lock makes it fast and easy to release or lock a socket onto the rail.

What grease for old ratchet wrench?

I would have liked to take this ratchet apart further but I think doing that to this wrench would do more harm than good. It looked like three of the parts were press fit and I would have to pound them out.

What grease for old ratchet wrench?

Thanks for the input! I have some spray on Lithium grease and I used it because it would get into the hard to reach places. It seemed to leave a thin layer that should work well enough until I am too old to care.

What grease for old ratchet wrench?

What grease for an old ratchet wrench? I have an old Thorsen 77 ratchet wrench that had a lot of gunk in the gears. After scraping off some of the gunk I decided to soak it in kerosene to clean it. Now what do I do? :dunno:  My original lubrication plan was to soak it in molten parrafin...
