Tablesaw dust port 2.5" to 1 7/8" shopvac

Maybe what I did will help; instead of using dedicated fittings, I opted for PVC. If the fit was too tight, I simply used my Dremel with a sanding bit. The hose end is thin to begin with, so try sanding the PVC fitting where possible. Sent from my SM-A102U using Tapatalk

welding Alu stick on 110 -

Sorry I don't have a solution but, your post caught my eye because back in the '70s, I worked at my first job in a metal shop where we did welding. At that time, I was 18 or 19 and naive. The welders would send me to where the rods were stocked and ask me to look and find some aluminum rods...

Masterforce Miter Saw Stand MX124.....Don't Bother

Thanks for the warning. These are the things that I'm most interested in when I review tools online. Second best, is finding what I want locally so I can give it the woodeneye test, up close and personal. The last thing I want to hear is my wife saying "I wouldn't have bought it in the first...

    Comfortable shop shoes?

I bought a 2x4 mat for my job. When I retired, I took it with me and I use it at the work stations where I spend most of my time. Sent from my SM-A102U using Tapatalk

    Craftsman drill press opinion

I would say it depends on which one you can get the most use out of. Personally, I think a drill press is a drill press, meaning that if the size is the same, they're equal, except you have greater capacity with the floor model. This also depends on whether you have the space for it. Sent from...

    Drill-Tap

Even as a machinist, tasked with drilling and taping holes, I've never seen one of these. That was back in the'80s. Maybe that's why. Sent from my SM-A102U using Tapatalk

Do You Still Use Your Shop Air Compressor?

I agree, compressors have their purpose. There's a reason that every automotive shop has one. Sent from my SM-A102U using Tapatalk

    Rebuilding floor jack....?

Unfortunately, most things cost more than they're worth simply because manufacturers know you're going to pay them for parts or pay for a new unit. There are no other options. Sent from my SM-A102U using Tapatalk

Do You Still Use Your Shop Air Compressor?

A few years ago I went to the trouble of making a cabinet for mine, and later running hose for a reel, so I think I'll keep mine for a while. Now it would be too expensive to go to battery tech. Sent from my SM-A102U using Tapatalk

How to fit diamond cup wheel to my small angle grinder?

Providing the wheel is the appropriate one for your grinder, you might need to install a washer on the grinder before the wheel. Sent from my SM-A102U using Tapatalk
