    Marine Epoxy as flooring??

Yes, sorry for the late response. So I went ahead and did it on my shop floor and I must say the stuff is amazing. I used mainly Amercoat 450H. Super thick and takes a beating. I'll post pics asap.

    120v to 240v - This is a wierd one

Thanks all for your replies. Ya, this shop was a real mess when I moved in a year ago. Just getting the paint booth up and running cost me thousands in electrical work alone.

    120v to 240v - This is a wierd one

Ok, so this is definitely a conundrum I have. My electrical experience is very limited and I understand I should get a professional in on this one, but this is almost a curiousity killed the cat kind of thing(no pun intended). On the the 3 phase side of my shop I have some basic 120v outlets...

    Marine Epoxy as flooring??

So, I recently came upon literally tons of high grade marine epoxy. At least (40) 5 gallon pails with all the hardeners. I dont really have much use for it, but a buddy of mine has a rather large shop and is need of getting his floor done. Would there be any reason that this wouldn't work as...

But hey, at the end of the day, you know what you did and that's all that counts :)

Need help Identifying part on older IR Type 30 Compressor

Once again, you're a life saver. Ya, I figured it was a fairly simple part to find, but just wanted to be sure. Hopefully mine will look as clean as yours when I'm done. The funny thing is if you saw how I have it all plumbed it is rather mind blowing(in a good way or bad depending on how you...

Need help Identifying part on older IR Type 30 Compressor

Also, are these the intercooler lines you were referring too? And yes, I know that it is dirty as hell all over and plan on taking it outside and cleaning the hell out of it. All those drip lines look like leaks, but they are just from when I was taking apart and didn't clean it up after I put...

Need help Identifying part on older IR Type 30 Compressor

Man, thanks a ton for that info. I'm not exactly savvy with this type of stuff. I've been using this compressor for about 3 years now and it's been a dream. It's so incredibly quiet also. I have a 60 Gallon BlackMax single stage as well that is literally 3 times louder. About a month ago...

Need help Identifying part on older IR Type 30 Compressor

Hello all, I have an IR Type 30 242 5D3 compressor. Can anyone tell me what part this is circled in red? It connects into the pump right behind behind that copper fitting. I found the manual, but it does not say anywhere what that particular part is or the size. It is leaking at the top part...

    Help with Routing A/C suction

I had a 4 ton A/c unit installed in my shop about 7 months ago. The problem is I do a lot of paint work in there and changing out the filters is becoming very expensive. I do have a paint booth I setup sometimes, but the fumes have to go somewhere so they end up going through the filter...

Need to cool my shop down ASAP

I was looking at these things and most swamp coolers are no good in the humidity but these are supposed to work well. The only problem is the unit I would need is over $2,000. Thanks for the info! That's a very nice setup. I could only dream of having something like that. I have decided...

A window AC on a cart? Doesn't it have to vent outside?

Need to cool my shop down ASAP

I don't mind working in the heat so much depending on the job I'm doing. If I'm doing outside back breaking work I just get myself in a zone and I can stand it. I've lived here for most of my life and I can honestly say I still haven't gotten used to the heat though. Doing my job makes you go...

Need to cool my shop down ASAP

I am worried about the AC unit as well. Ugh, I'll get the specs on that too tonight. But, that's why I figure insulating it with radiant barrier or something similar would really help. As far as the hours, I work over night all the time anyway because of what I do for a living, but not being...

Need to cool my shop down ASAP

I'm in Houston and just moved into my shop 6 months ago. I knew it would be hot, but it's pretty unbearable to the point I have had to change my schedule to work over night. Let me just get to the point...... The shop has brick on 2 sides, drywall(the shop next to me) on another side, and...
