Garage Transformation - EpoxyMaster & More

Looking great! Is this the epoxy master without the top clear coat? How did you like working with the product? did you find it covered what was promised on the box? Thanks for posting!

    Epoxy's Durability?

I have a 1974 Toro in my garage, these things are built like tanks, a hand me down and still works like a charm, very loud though. It has chains on the wheels and all the rust drips you can imagine when the snow melts. I like redwings' idea about the carpet. I personally use cardboard. I keep...

    not my garage but...

I just finished my basement last January. I did consider Drycore but I wanted to lay tile, the only thing that can take the abuse from little boys with hockey sticks! So Drycore wasn't for me unfortunately. My slab was so even I couldn't beleive how they can level an "L" shaped surface of 30x16...

What should I do here? (uneven floor)

It's a little difficult to tell from your pics how bad it is. If it's tile you're putting, and the issue is as you say about 1/2 to 3/4", why not just lay down the tile while using extra tile cement (notch both the floor and back of the tile), and level each tile separately. Pull a line if you...

    not my garage but...

Forgot to mention... Drycore comes with a leveling kit, but I'm not sure how much you can level it. If your floor is really bad, not sure if Drycore will work...

    Floor or Walls first

I would cover the floor no matter what is done first. If you've epoxy'd it, you want it covered, if you haven't yet you'd want to keep it from getting spills and so on... Why take a chance, covering with a tarp costs very little and will avoid a lot of trouble.

    not my garage but...

for uneven slabs, you either have to poor the self leveling stuff, depending on how big the surface is, this might or might not be a good solution. A good concrete contractor can help with that, definitely not for a new DIY'er. The other alternative is what you mentioned, a subfloor. you use...

how to cover garage foundation wall

If your walls are smooth enough and depending on other factors, consider tiles. It's more work but you can go as high as you'd like by covering the drywall. Good luck!

Question about clearing out the garage

My plan: build a shed outdoors, then build a loft in the garage (11 foot ceiling). My epoxy project has been on hold for about a year now, and with the way things are going, it will still be for a while... like the other guy said, your floor or a divorce lawyer... good luck!

Excellent post! Thanks for this. one question: do you know What was the old stuff? and how long it had been on before peeling? Thanks.

Time to stop thinking and execute, another epoxy floor

I would certainly love to see pics once the fish stencil/deco flakes idea is done. I am a junior member here, and has spent some time on this forum since joining, lots of reading, so I can't say how this forum was when it started, I do see lots of presence by Alphagarage and race deck, but I...

    New Wolverine Project

Did you have to "V" grind the joints prior to filling them? or was there no need for that in this case? This is shaping up to be a success.
