Does anyone know if these boxes are dimensionally the same? The only differences I could see are the front trim and roller bearing vs friction slides. I have a chance to buy a KR-647 and I want to add to my KR-557/537 setup. What are these valued at, I know they are hard to come by. It is a '95...
A guy a my work had a great idea for using a power seat. Find an old 12V cordless drill with good battery and charger, cut off the drill handle and wire into the battery terminals. Mount the handle under the chair to act as the battery receiver. Then you would have a quick release battery pack...
Well I just answered my own question, it's a KC-502 "Apprentice Tool Box". I actually picked up 2 of them plus an old hex key set and machinists square.

I just picked up a barely used DEG-500-D for $50, seems like a really nice grinder. It is made in Germany. Does anyone know if this is their own design or is it made for them by another manufacturer?
Possible pass here, I saw these in my local store last week marked down to $65, looks exactly like the old HF Earthquake gun, just a different colour boot. Box said 620 ft-lbs loosening torque and made in Taiwan...
So I was trying out the HTH181 pin anvil version in the store today. It has a chamfer on the leading edge of the pin so you can slide the socket on easily, but you still need to push the pin down to remove it. It looks as if you could knock out the roll pin that retains the socket pin, then...
The USA stuff is a pretty good deal, just hit or miss of it being in stock or not. For example this set is about 1/3 the price of SO.
