I would not transition in the attic. Bring it down to the panel an do the transition there using an insulated connector like this.

I am slowly switching out all my couplers to the safety push button ones. They work just like was already said. First press the coupler pops out a small amount and starts releasing the air pressure. It directs the released air forward and doesn't allow the hose to shoot away or whip.

If these 5/32 holes are for tapcon style screws its possible with the more powerful SDS drills to make oversized holes. At full throttle my Milwaukee demo hammer will blast through cinder block leaving a hole so large the tapcon barely grabs.
I now start the hole off very slow until I get a...
I am actually planning on doing this with my rotary screw compressor when the factory warranty runs out. Then I can sell off the rotary phase converter I have. I am looking at an Invertek 4kW Inverter 1 phase 240V in, 3 phase 240V out, ODE-3-320153-1042, unit for $506.67. For my compressor I...
L4545-123-9 uses "Collector Ring #602296 which is the same collector ring as L4500. L4500 has a 20 amp rating. This is the same reel I have setup for my 240V 20A reel I use for my welders and plasma cutter.

Look to see what the L4500 is rated, that would be the base model of what you have or look at the parts diagram for the reel you have.

The limiting factor will not be the 12awg cord. But it could be the rotary contact or slip ring inside the cord reel. When I bought my Reelcraft reels I made sure they both had the 20 amp slip ring. One reel was bare and the other had a 16awg cord and a rating of 15 amps but looking at the parts...
That piece you can see is from a Bowling alley in Riverfalls WI (if I remember correctly). Its the beginning of the alley where you drop the ball and made from a very hard maple. Being the ball drop section it was beat to hell when I got it, I had to de-laminate all the pieces, squirt in gorilla...
Its been a long time since I have been a frequent flyer on the GJ but maybe that will change. I figure no better place to get reacquainted than the air compressor thread.
So here is my old steed being delivered to its new home.
And the replacement that arrived the same day
My wife...
You could also look at buying a used semi reefer (refrigerated) trailer. The insulation is only economical for so many years then its not worth using so they sell them cheap. I think its something like the first two years they are used as deep freeze trailers, then then next 3-4 they use for...
So taking a slightly different approach. You could eliminate the need to run the CAT6 for internet if you pick up two wireless devices that can be used in a bridged configuration. You would mount one on the outside of your house facing the shop and one on the shop facing the one on the house...
