    I sell these aswell I have installed hundreds over the last 15yrs. We used only York and Rheem for the longest time when I had a low income project or something on a budget I would sub the goodman in to get the job....guess what? I never had a call back to these units....they were NEVER well...

    duravent install, any input?

    i'd think you would be fine just don't push the glass up tight...let it hang off the plywood...when the glass is tight on the wood that is when you have problems with rot , though they are not a perfect fit they do still give you the air space your looking for...

    Heat Pumps

    I do install these systems here in NJ I am not a big fan of just installing straight heatpumps I will however install them with gas and oil fired furnaces...then you have the ability to run the heatpump when the temp allows and when the need for backup heat comes I have the gas or oil furnace...

    I understand what your trying to do.... but I think your missing that the new airhandler doesn't know what freon is going to be in the unit....the coil will take the pressure of 410 it is not some absurd amount PSI just more than the R22 systems..... if its dollars that you want to save why not...

    Honestly... I cant really say,.. they are somewhat insulated from the factory ....at least in todays equipt. I don't think it will do ya really one bit of good, now on the other side what can it really hurt? Here in NJ everything in now energy star and for inspection we have never had to wrap...

    I am a little lost on what is freezing...the line or jet itself...... I think you want to say orfice....... if that is the case being propane, I have seen when the tank gets low.....hence the name liquid propane it may be loosing pressure..... I have witnessed these with ice forming coming...

    I assume that the unit is a 3 ton by the model # Why don't you scrap the furnace and the coil go buy a 3 ton airhandler it is light weight is able to accept a heat kit in a variety of kw's and your trusses will be just fine with that load.... I do them all the time... the township wants the...
