Utah man lives in his airplane hangar

Having an interest in Barndominiums and shops with living quarters I am always searching the threads on here. I came across an interesting article about Ivo Zdarsky, a man who lives in an airplane hangar on 400 acres in Utah. Interesting story about him escaping communist Czechoslovakia...

    Work bench goals

drivesitfar, check out the Hobart Ironman230. Great bang for the buck. I upgraded from a Miller 210 and I'm really happy with it.

    Welding Helmet

I've have a Miller Elite Big Window AD helmet for about 11 years. I bought a Jackson Halo-X passive helmet and installed a #10 gold lens. Extremely light weight, great headgear and I find the the gold lens far superior. Best $50 bucks total I've spent for my welding. I have relegated the Miller...

Father & son's shop with living quarters video

Not sure if this video has been posted in the past (?) I've read the threads on garages with living quarters. This is a Dad & son living in a warehouse/shop in southern California (no mention of Mom). Only a quick view of the mezzanine living quarters, but still a cool video.

Low end TIG. anybody have one?

I have a Miller Diversion 165. The Hobart EZtig is the exact same machine. It's a simple, no frills invertor machine and I have no complaints, nice unit for it's size and a good quality bang for the buck. The Hobart also has a 5 year warranty. Check out YouTube for Miller videos on the Diversion...

    Multitool sander opinion?

I just bought one. Works great on my old Craftsman 1/2 HP. I also really like the quick change design to change belts  Because of the older design of this bench grinder I had to make the spacer you see in the picture, no big deal. With most of todays grinders this should not be the case.

Need help fabbing a motorcycle frame hanging rig.

I used 2x4's and my Black & Decker Workmate. I made this for painting bumpers but it worked great for a Honda frame I painted I ran round stock through the engine mounts and used some tubing welded to a piece of flat stock deck screwed to the wood so the frame would tilt forward and be able to...

    TIG Welders

I also have a Miller Diversion 165. Nice machine for what I do (sheet metal to 1/8", light tubing, brackets, etc.) so the duty cycle is tolerable. Miller Diversion 165 and the Hobart EZ TIG 165i are the same machine. The only difference is the the Hobart has a standard torch and...
