Lift installation recommendations in Northern Michigan / Traverse City

Where are you purchasing it from? They may have local suggestions of installers or you can add to the cost of the lift and they have in house installers. I installed mine by myself, I would not say it was easy.

    Help identify my transmission jack

Theronswanson.. I believe you are correct, thank you. Carlyle (Napa branding) has this exact jack. Not the best on specs / user guides. I will continue to search around for more information. Thanks again all

    Help identify my transmission jack

Thanks for the responses. The other sticker is just warnings, no identification. I just looked up Lincoln, I don't see anything similar, the letters don’t seem to line up on the sticker either. It definitely has an “N”. I need to see how I can adjust / repair the knob. There is no foot released...

    Help identify my transmission jack

I just purchased this locally. It is heavy duty, very sturdy with a wide stance and operates nicely. The twisty knob to release pressure needs some work, it is difficult to turn. Any idea of the brand?

Quotes for 3 car garage epoxy? Reasonable?

If you prep it correctly, almost any 2 part epoxy from Home Depot or Lowe’s will last. I used a 2 part from Sherwin Williams, after 8 years it is still perfect. (Daily driver house garage as well as my 30x30 shop) No lifting or chipping. You just have to open the pores of the concrete...

    Old Mohawk or New Chinese

Many of us have “Chinese made” lifts with zero issues. That said, that lift looks Heavy duty, very nice. I think whatever fits your needs and budget is what you should get. There is nothing wrong with the many lifts under the multiple manufacturer names as they are all made the same materials...

4 post lift ramp sag / flex when using bridge jack

It returns back original form when unloaded. I have been watching videos of bridge jacks on all brands of lifts and All of them are showing the same deflection.

Best mirror for driving on a lift

So, I had a few mirrors around the house and I tried them around the garage. I really didn’t like them, so, as Stew mentioned, I drove 4 different cars on the lift, aligned them first, then hung my head out the window. This was the most comfortable to me after all that. Thanks for the replies...

4 post lift ramp sag / flex when using bridge jack

The deflection was minimal and the Jack was probably on the edge of the first 1/3rd of the ramp if that make sense. Not near the front. I was just surprised to see it I guess. The outside of the ramps had no deflection, so if I took a picture, it would have looked the same as racecougar‘s. I...

4 post lift ramp sag / flex when using bridge jack

I used my bridge jack for the first time and I was a bit surprised to see the sag in the ramps at the point of lift. Has anyone experienced this and if so have you added any type of sheet metal to the inside rails to help with stability?

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Thanks... I agree. Though, I have a soft side and give in very easily and offer to buy parts. He is working at a restaurant and going to college, so, I am ok giving the help. We set up a separate bank account that he can only see but not touch. So all profits go in there until he graduates...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

I just purchased this car from a buddy (got the friend discount since he was almost gonna junk it) it was his daily driver for 8 years and he drove it hard. Every seal was leaking, drive shaft boots, clutch bad, oil in the spark plugs ( I can't believe it ran as well as it did) This car is...
