I'm using pre-galvanized unistrut to mount solar panels on our RV roof, I want to paint it white.
I'm going to wipe it down with vinegar, after that do I use etching primer or Tremclad glavanized metal primer. I'm hoping the Tremclad primer and a coat or 2 of regular Temclad paint will work ...
Thanks, will keep that in mind about the new model. Right now I'm fine with it as is so until it really falls apart I'll make do. Not going to change the stator etc just to keep the trigger on.

TBH I got so used to it with the rubber band on there I kinda forgot about it but it musta broke and it's been replaced with a fresh one. ;)...

Looks like the brackets for your jacks are different than mine (not that it makes a difference with what I wanna do)
Went back and had a look at your pics, so you didn't use the angled piece like oldbear and others used on their hoists?
