    Weaver jack

If you look through the thread, you will see pics of my weaver jack. I’m happy to report, it’s been a few years now and the Jack still gets used regularly. We’ve since finished remodeling the house we inherited and we’ve moved in. I’ve used the jack for working on trucks, mowers and tractors!

    220 Outlet Question

I usually wire to the largest draw, I would run #8 and use a 50A breaker.

    Single pipe hydronic heat

Ok. I was finally able to tear into it. It is an isolated loop system. I was unable to see the loop pipes because they were tucked into the corners up high in the crawl. There was an in and an out to every baseboard heater. I’m simply cutting the pipes and plugging the holes, then when I’ve...

    Single pipe hydronic heat

Looking for some help please.... I inherited a house and I’m trying to do some renovations before we move into it next year. I will be adding central heat and air next summer. Years ago my father in law (who we inherited the house from) abandoned the hydronic baseboard heat and used only...

    Bonding a Gas Line

Basically, if the gas line was in, say, a generator, you could bond it to the generator. But since it’s piping thru the house, you need to bond it to the House Service ground.. if that ground wire in your picture is running to/from your service panel, and you can verify visually that it is...

    Bonding a Gas Line

From NEC, 250.104 (B) (B) Other Metal Piping. If installed in, or attached to, a building or structure, a metal piping system(s), including gas piping, that is likely to become energized shall be bonded to any of the following: (1)  Equipment grounding conductor for the circuit that is likely...

    Bonding a Gas Line

generally you want to bond with a clamp to the regulator outside, and on the utility side of the regulator. Where the regulator is outside, is the Service nearby? If so, and you have an inter bond below the meter, just come out of that. If no interbond, split bolt to the ground wire coming out...

GFCI tripping & disconnecting service panel ground. This is wrong!

Lightning doesn’t exit thru the ground.... I don’t believe you should be disconnecting the grounds, although I’ll admit I’m not a geologist. Replacing the receptacles seems more prudent, and checking the panel for proper bonding would help. Sometimes in remodel situations, gfci receptacles...
