How large is the opening? If it's reasonably similar to a standard size (16x9, 16x7, etc), it should be easy to source and install a door (new or used, depending on budget). Shrink the opening as needed with 2x4's or whatever matches existing framing.

I feel ya there. Beware that beyond R-7 or R-8, pretty much any higher rating is going to be BS. You're ultimately limited by the thickness of the door, not the material density. At least that's my understanding.
