    The VISES of Garage Journal

^ It's a common issue when stealing screenshots of catalog pages on ebay. Sellers are interested in selling, not historical accuracy. I' get that, but it can be confounding to discover something you thought you were using as a reference point was off by 20 years.

    Tekton tin snips

Oh.. you mean the company that makes them for everyone else? That's Midwest Snips.

    Tekton tin snips

 Manufactured in Taiwan with a $40 price point - they're shoveling sand against the tide going up against Midwest Snips at comparable price points.

    Who makes good flush cutters?

^ NOT a clue there. I only paid like $5 bucks for them over at Platt Electric. Brought them home and tried them out. UGH. Pokey things! That was shortly before I figured out HOW to find the Tsunoda models on Amazon (the part numbers were confusing.) Again, that tiny pair I'm using now - very...

    Who makes good flush cutters?

^ More than one other person on this website has said the same thing about them. I was definitely not impressed at all. .I thought perhaps I wasn't using them correctly, but no... .they left a sharp pokey thing - every time. The Tsunoda model does not. Oddly, my current "go to" is an unbranded...

What should I be looking out for in my contractor?

    Q. What should I be looking out for in my contractor? A. Does he haul off the trash and construction debris? or leave it piled up at the end of your driveway? (like at my sister's house?) or alternatively just toss everything out the back door onto the lawn? (like at my buddy's house.)

    Battle of the Bit Ratchets

WOW Andy! just WOW! (y) Amazing. I can definitely concur on both the Tekton "small engine kit" (as well as the bit ratchet which is included in the kit.) VERY nicely done by the folks at Tekton - this is where I'd like to see tools of the future going. Also that little "WIHA" GoBox is...

    Need help identifying ratcheting handle

^ Hot item right now. German ones are pretty nice. Wait a few months and ICON will have one. Japan-made units are here and there as well. Old idea. A U.S. company made one that came in a kit with L O N G bits a long time ago, but I can't recall their name at the moment.

    Who makes good flush cutters?

oh ... just for reference: Klein D275-5 ^ These things are garbage. I bought them on impulse because they were crazy cheap. I gave this pair to my buddy to get rid of them. I felt so bad about it, I had a pair of both the Tsunoda KBN150 and KBN125 flush cutters drop-shipped to him and told...

    Garage Journal referenced on Youtube

I will gleefully saw off my foot with a rusty hacksaw before I will give one dime to anything having anything to do with "AI". I almost dropped my ISP today until they confirmed for me that they were not using any "AI" in their "customer service" or "technical support" departments.
