My Legacy Industrial Epoxy Floor project is DONE....

I believe they are considered 1/4", they are Legacy's system #9 blend. Maybe Scotty will chime in and clarify what they are. The holes were made with a 5/16 drill bit, in hindsight 3/8 might have been better. Takes a long time to shake out 2lbs per section .

My Legacy Industrial Epoxy Floor project is DONE....

Thanks! I actually was going to use those colors as well but threw the blue blend in at the last minute. I have a few Mustangs and the blue is same Shade as Grabber Blue!

My Legacy Industrial Epoxy Floor project is DONE....

Insulation is going in next week and the winter project is walls and ceiling. I'm actually leaning toward corrugated metal walls with a 3ft tall strip of thick plastic pegboard running down the middle. It looks good in my head lol, but if it won't work out then I'll just do drywall. Haven't...

My Legacy Industrial Epoxy Floor project is DONE....

I mentioned broadcasting the chips in a different manner, what I did was make a large shaker. I held it waist high and shook it in an orbital fashion while making passes front to back, side to side, and then diagonally. Took longer but I was more comfortable with evenness of the coverage I was...

My Legacy Industrial Epoxy Floor project is DONE....

Next day was the urethane clear. I ran a plastic scraper over the floor and then vacuumed all the loose chips. The clear, like the primer, was an easy one man job. I used 1/4 of the bottle of soft skid and due to the texture from the chips I don't think I even needed that.

My Legacy Industrial Epoxy Floor project is DONE....

Next up was the SD Epoxy! I enlisted the help of my wife , she mixed and cut-in the edges while I spread and back rolled the Epoxy. We did it in 4 sections and when I finished the back roll and started to broadcast the chips she would start mixing, worked out perfectly. I had some anxiety over...

My Legacy Industrial Epoxy Floor project is DONE....

After building a 32x30 garage a couple years ago I've been back and forth, and back again, on what type of flooring to put down. I tend to go full cripple when having too many choices in front of me, In the end I went with: Legacy epoxy primer Legacy SD Epoxy in Med. Gray Legacy Urethane clear...

Squeegee Vs. Roller for Epoxy and Urethane application?

I've noticed floors being applied using squegee's (notched or straight), or rollers. The products I'm using list the application for both methods just wondering which one provided the best results for the DIY's that have put down they're own? Is one more dummy proof than the other lol? I'll be...

Cleaning oil stained concrete using liquid dishwashing detergent

Cover the area with nice pile of oil dry , then saturate it with thinner. I work it around a small amount then sweep it all up while it's still slightly damp. Actually the shredded paper type oil dry works a little better than the clay but it's difficult to find in some areas.

Cleaning oil stained concrete using liquid dishwashing detergent

When I worked my first job at a garage way back when, the owner used to cover the floor with oil dry and pour gas on it lol. Stupid for a variety of reasons but the floor would be clean as new when he was done. I use the same process with the oil dry but I use cheap lacquer thinner on the worst...

Can water based dyed floors be sealed? How?

On that note how would Legacys epoxy/urethane sealer system work over a water based Stain. Any downside vs the acid stains?

    Acid staining a floor Gray..

Same thing ive run into so far. I found that Eagle made a Charcoal stain but apparently it's not available anymore. I just purchased the Legacy extreme sealer system also, and was initially going to just seal the concrete as is but really like the look of the stain. I'll check into the HC line...

    Acid staining a floor Gray..

I'm considering doing an Acid stain to my 32x30 floor and am trying to figure out how to achieve a dark gray marbeled look, Charcoal might be a better color description. I've seen them online this way but not sure how to get that shade. I'm guessing cutting Black stain with water and testing is...
