What tool did you Later buy after not having it during a job?

Pilot bearing puller. Ground a bolt down to the right size to create a 'hook' that I welded to the end of a nut on my slide hammer. That did the job, but not nicely... Pilot bearing puller is much nicer to use!

    It's finally arrived!

Looks like the chisels etc are all still Australian made, and the locking pliers are German made? Interesting kit!

    It's finally arrived!

Haha, yeah, the box has a few Stanley bits in there, as well as ABW (who do the impact socket line). The COO is from memory Taiwan, whereas about a decade ago, and earlier Sidchrome was all Australian made. I still have a number of old Sidchrome tools around the place, including one of their old...

    It's finally arrived!

Thanks guys :) Why did the photo come through upside down? Apparently iPhones have been having a glitch where they lose their EXIF data and rotate the photos :/ Anyway, I've taken some more of the draws to show you all, but on a proper camera. The kit has both metric and imperial, right up to...

    It's finally arrived!

Well... the last thread didn't go down really well, but alas, it's here. I bought a suction gun from my local hardware store, and was entered into the draw for a ~$6k box and tools... and I won! I've got a fair bit of Snap On stuff but I'm not going to say no to all this kit :P Quite chuffed!

    The ultimate "You ****!"

Hey guys, well, it's about time I got myself a "You ****!" A few months ago I bought a grease gun at my local store, and was entered into a draw... I got a call yesterday to say I'd won this! http://www.sidchrome.com.au/products/508-piece-metric---af-tool-kit (For those of you who aren't...

Anyone use larger that 1" square drive impact wrenches?

We use larger than 1" stuff at work, for heavy mining equipment, where some torque specs can reach ~4kN.m (off the top of my head). You definitely shouldn't need that for your needs though!

    Snap On Wallpaper

    More SO stuff...

I would say that's a reasonable price to be honest :)

Snap On Friction Slide - Replacement Parts

Hi guys, I have started pulling apart my KRA3800 box, reason for writing is, I have managed to snap one of the clips that hold the draw in the slide... Anyone know where I can purchase a secondhand or anything that will do the job in its place? I'd like to buy a few of them just in case I break...

How do you use this... (Bushing inserter / remover)

Received this in the mail recently, wanting to get an idea of how I can use it and what it's limitations are. The seller listed it as a Bushing inserter / remover. It's a Snap On box, and it seems to be a slide hammer setup? Can someone give me a quick how-to on using this thing!

    S-K Ratchet Disassembly

Recently received in the mail, and pulled it apart as soon as I got it (naturally!) However, I'm wanting to know, can this internal piece be disassembled further at all?

My first attempt at rust removal (CLR)

Gentlemen. I received some Snap On sockets that had a bit of internal rust (nothing major but I wanted it cleaned). Before I put my Snap On stuff in a bucket of potentially damaging chemicals though, I wanted to test the mixture on something less important to me... SO! A SAE Sidchrome wrench it...

    IR2130 - 3/8 version?

Hey fellas I finally got my rattle gun up and running, it's an IR2130. I'm very impressed with it :) what I'd like to know is, what is the 3/8" version of this gun? (baby brother basically?) Cheers!

Need ratchet guru's thoughts on this

I am an Australian member, and can tell you that I can pickup those three Snap-On ratchets for around ~$220 (used but good condition). I am not sure how the Matco prices up though. I would say that this deal is overpriced personally.
