Another garage sale find. $2.00. Looks like a cross between a machinist tool box and a jewelry box. When I first saw it I thought it was plastic. The lock and drawers work well. Any idea what year it is?
I purchased these two motors at a garage sale for $5 for the pair. The 3/4 horse GE is mounted (sort of) to some kind of a pully drive. The SKF bearing decal looks very similar to a decal on my Atlas/Craftsman lathe.
The 1/2 horse Craftsman with wire wheel is much too fast for my wire wheel...
I found this while on vacation in Seattle. 10-D Snapon Nut Spinner with "Pat. Appld. For" stamped on opposite side. I could not find any date code. Any idea what year it's from?
thanks
Thanks for the info and advice. 454 - after I got the motor home I saw it was "Fan Duty" and thought it might not be the best for my old DP. When I saw it laying under a table at the sale and I could make out "Craftsman" I chocked and said "I want this".

I picked up this jack at a garage sale last weekend for a couple bucks. Anyone know any info on it? It works like a turnbuckle when the center section is rotated axially. There is a "pull & flip" tab with "up" and "down" stamped into it that doesn't seem to change how the jack operates.
I know someone here will know. I've never seen this before. I purchased this Craftsman "Fan Duty" motor at a garage sale for $17.50 to use on my old Craftsman King Seeley DP. How do you remove this type of split pulley from the motor shaft? The outside piece threads unto the inside and is...
Found these three pieces in two different estate sales last week. They ratchets are kind of crusty but both work well. Ratchets were $1.00 each, combo was 25 cents.
Anyone know what this is? Looks cast iron with the markings M196 on one side and a 6 or a 9 on the other. Also there is a mark that looks like two capitol "Y"s tail to tail. About 7-1/4" long and the square is slightly larger than 3/4" x 3/4".

I picked this up recently at an estate sale. ($1.50) Had no idea what it was for. Looked it up and saw it is a valve adjusting tool....possibly for VW/Porsche? Can someone explain how it works?
thanks
I recently joined this forum to gain knowledge about a couple old drill presses. But I've enjoyed learning about all sorts of tools. I was at an estate sale today at lunch and picked up this offset screwdriver for a buck. I've seen a couple others like this on the forum. Can someone tell me...
Can anyone tell me what year this DP is? I found one with the same head badge on Vintage Machinery that says it's a 1939. But it has a serial number and mine does not. My searching has turned up very few WTs with this head badge.
thanks
As stated above I've already corrected the gib screw issue. The vise was a freebie so I really have nothing to loose but a little of my labor time.....and I'm cheap.
