So I had this jack laying around and got it working again by replacing all of the seals.
However, it’s got some issue I don’t know if it had it before.
It’s leaking from the main valve right under the cog. Marked orange.
When releasing pressure, there’s an air hissing or leaking sound...
I believe it was an leather belt.
I ordered according to the old belts length, which turned out to not be the correct size.
Anyway, Its mostly done now. Will post some pictures later.
it ran, sounded like low power and made a hell of a noise from that one bearing.
now its just spins way nicer on hand, but won't start spinning on power.
I did remove the brush wires and the power cord.
Only thing I have put on incorrectly would be the power chord, but I already tried switching it around.
Since its A/C I wouldn't know the difference it would make anyways.
So I picked up this corded Milwaukee grinder with a broken bearing which I replaced.
After putting it back together, it won't spin.
It's making a humming noise and starts to smoke lightly when left on for more than a few seconds.
I can't spot anything that's obviously wrong.

got an awesome deal on this old drill press. doesn't show a date but this drill press gets put around 1945 most of the time.
paid 50 bucks, ordered a new belt, chuck and bearings.
