Can someone identify this 1/2" knockout hole plug?

I like these knockout hole plugs but can't find where to get them. They fit a 7/8" hole (i.e. 1/2" knockout). They are two piece screw together plugs (a female threaded cap and a male threaded plug) which seal well. Pics attached. Thanks.

    This electrical passed Home Inspection

Thanks Zmax, I looked up Cutler Hammer since that's what I'm most familiar with. According to their catalog, the 15A CH style breakers are the only ones listed for 2 wires. None of the BR style is listed for two wires. See page 7 and page 25 of their catalog...

    This electrical passed Home Inspection

Well now I'm not sure if most breakers allow double tapping or not. Now that I think about it the breakers the home inspector flagged in my house for being double tapped, weren't listed for it. As I recall they were the type with the screw (not the lug type) and they didn't have the little...

    This electrical passed Home Inspection

This is my error. I had assumed breakers could not be double tapped for the same reasons a neutral is not supposed to be. I didn't realize most breakers were designed for the application. I agree and told my son-in-law and daughter to do the same. They are young, intelligent, but fairly...

    This electrical passed Home Inspection

That's very true. They bought the house from a guy who remodels and sells houses. On hindsight, I doubt even that guy got all the required permits. Re: Dryer outlet The Home Inspector didn't have to test the dryer recep to determine the faulty wiring. When my son-in-law originally described...

    This electrical passed Home Inspection

"Was an electrical inspection specifically part of the home inspectors work order?" I didn't see the inspection report myself, but I'm pretty sure electrical was included. My daughter looked at the electrical section and told me there was something the seller had to fix inside the main panel as...

    This electrical passed Home Inspection

"3 wires to a sub WAS legal in the past !" Wizard, Did NEC ever allow 3 wire subs in attached structures? I didn't think they did, but I don't know electrical history that well. Wyliesdiesels mentions it's never been allowed in the FAQs pinned at the top of the forum. "4-wire feeders to...

    This electrical passed Home Inspection

My daughter and son-in-law (young couple) bought a decent starter home (except the electrical). This has to rate as some of the worst electrical to pass home inspection. The subpanel had lots of 14 ga. wire on 20A breakers. Lots of wires packed through a hole made for a 3/4 fitting w/ no...

What is this thing that came with my angle drill?

Thanks so much for the explanations. Thumbs up to you folks.

What is this thing that came with my angle drill?

Hi, I bought a Milwaukee 1/2" angle drill from an auction the other day. It's an old drill. The drill can be used as a right angle drill, or it can be switched to a straight drill. The casing is all metal. Included in the drill box were a couple of these metal punch looking things (I took a...

Mind taking a look at this install-half done?

Thanks Wylie. I've noticed a lot of people have viewed this thread, so I thought I'd post the pics of the completed project, and mention my mistakes. Maybe it will help somebody. Good point on the #3 copper. It's been so long, I can't remember why I used #2 cu on the sub instead of #3...

Mind taking a look at this install-half done?

The transfer switch is rated for 100A, as is the sub-panel. However, the outside box to plug the generator is only rated for 50A. I could have used a 100A box for the generator, but not only would that have been overkill, it would have cost a fortune for a 100A plug in. So I just used a...

Mind taking a look at this install-half done?

I thought I'd post some final pics to this install. I finally finished it after 6 years, Lol. I had a lot of other house projects, I got side tracked on. I'm sure the install isn't perfect (if anyone see anything I've missed, please speak up) but I think I'm satisfied with it overall. I...

Mind taking a look at this install-half done?

Thanks Wylie, Actually what I was considering doing was putting a jumper on the generator side of the transfer switch, but only on the generator side. So that only when the EG is operating, the loads would be unbalanced (in a sense) but since the generator is just 120v anyway, it wouldn't come...
