    MRCOOL 36K Has Arrived

Very nice, I installed the pioneer (same company: Parker Davis) in my garage last year, and it has been great. will easily maintain 73 without working hard. I have a similar space, 30x40 pretty good insulation and clopay insulated doors. Cooling down is quick, heating up I would run a...

    Post your Garage Cat here

My garage cat Buster, he was a stray when we moved in got him fixed and fed him for the last few years. He follows me around where ever I am working outside, and has his spot in the garage to hangout while I work <blockquote class="imgur-embed-pub" lang="en" data-id="a/Q5Lh1rO"><a...

Please School Me On 60 Gallon Air Compressors

Skeptic, thanks for posting, a lot of good info on this thread. I am oddly looking at both of these same 60 gal compressors this week, and have decided on the Ingersol. Others I had considered were the Northstar 3hp, which is the same as a Puma (atlas copco). I had researched many available...

    MrCool/Pioneer issues

I have worked on other brands and they have had 2 speed motors with a cap inline. Trace the motor wiring back to see where it connects (look for wire color). The last I had worked on had a small black box capacitor with push on spade terminals, looked like the same a ceiling fan would use to...

High Lift Door Track Height Gains

I second DDM garage doors. I recently converted my second door by adding 3ft to the height. reused my horizontal tracks and DDM provided the correct torsion spring replacements. Now the door is not only up high enough, the horizontal portion is shorter also, so the door come no where near a car...

    2 Post lift install problem

As stated plumb the towers and you are good. my base plates had some slight warping to them from welding. With the slope and getting the towers plumb, I think I am at 1/2 at the most in one spot. It is locked in tight, and does not move at all. Check your anchor torque after each of the first...

40' deep shop, where to put the 2 post lift?

40' deep here, 12 ft from the backwall/door (door on both ends). Asymetric lift installed 2 months ago. I have had enough room with a full size ext cab pickup (gmc sierra). Tool box off to the size and use a husky cart for the specific job. So far it has been pretty good.

My Pioneer Ductless Minisplit install is complete.

Excellent job with the install. I just completed my 36k btu Pioneer garage install this past weekend. Big unit, both indoors and out. My head unit was pressurized btw. Mike

TPMS Woes on GMC [request for diagnostic guidance]

Agreed, its pricey when compared to a basic $14-$30 code reader. I think for what it can do, its worth it. I did eyeball the $1000+ wireless touchscreen models with ecu programming capabilities, very nice, but out of my league.

TPMS Woes on GMC [request for diagnostic guidance]

This Is the one I have, Autel MD808pro https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0714GBRZK/?tag=atomicindus08-20 While its a little pricey, it has paid me back in time and effort. I was able to locate a faulty wheel bearing that was causing an issue with the speed sensor and locate a few problems with...

TPMS Woes on GMC [request for diagnostic guidance]

I think it would be worth running a good scan tool on it. on my 09 Cadillac cts, I was able to scan all modules and will show a history of any issues (no check engine light tied to this). I had the driver seal control module come back as being an issue at one point and the steering angle sensor...

Pioneer mini-split: happy? wish you'd spent more?

I have installed 3 units thus far, two 24k but and the smaller 9k recently. The oldest is 12 years in and have had to replace the cooling fan on the outdoor unit, along with the capacitor that controls the speed. Total cost was $160. Install is straight forward, a vacuum pump from amazon and a...

How do I wire these outdoor lights?

I have a similar dusk to dawn setup. I used liquid tight flex conduit from the light connection down-the goose neck into to an outdoor rated box. The box was already installed, the old light fixture was attached directly in the past. Mike
