I have a "Tracki" on my dumpster trailer. It gives me email and phone alerts if it's moved. It was about $30.00 plus 12 a month, less if you prepay a year in advance. I'm sure there's better and cheaper models. I hid mine in the battery box as it's only (easily) assessable with the dump bed up...

I'd recommend a keypad lock. My dad is completely blind, but he can easily use a pushbutton phone and access his bank info over the phone with the phone key pad...he's 92 years old.
