    The sealing you normally use at the fittings avoids corrosion. Even with 10 bar (145PSI) water in galvanized pipe you will not run in leakage problems for at least 20 years if you did a proper job avoiding galvanic corrosion ( material mix with copper etc. or contact to concrete / brickstone )...
