I have both (SF80 and SHLF936), use the SF80 10:1 over the SHLF936. The SHLF936 is almost 26" inches long and is just to long to swing around after you broke the nut/bolt loose. I now prefer not to have locking flex heads, though early on I liked em.

Cant you just have your local dealer rebuild the head for you?

I called when my new 80 tooths showed up and didnt have "USA" on them anywhere, was told the are a global company with a global customer base and putting USA on is a hinderance in eveyones eyes but ours. sounds like BS to me.... as they should be proud.

get a miller 140 (first choice) or a Hobart Handler 140. Northern Tool has the hobart 140 for 459.00 with a free cart, or free auto-dark helmet and free shipping.

I carry one in my jeep for trail repairs, works good but really not practical with 1battery (12v) to weld anything over 1/8". Running it 24v and .35 wire (Lincoln's NR-211-MP seems to work the best) it should fix anything under 3/8". I can snap pics of welds made, ect if you want. Lee
