    Air Compressor for blasting cabinet

I just bought the 60 gal one stage dewalt at tractor supply for less than 600. Does fine on my Eastwood cabinet. IIRC if you go a little north of 900 you can get an IR 80 gal two stage I went with the 60 gal sine it fits well inside my garage. 80 gal is a whole lot bigger! Sent from my iPhone...

    Dilemma... Dewalt or Milwaukee?

I used to have both. But now all Red 12 and 18. I gave my yellow stuff to my son. He is making good use of them in his new place Sent from my iPhone using Garage Journal

    owning multiple cordless tool brands

I am all Milwaukee these days. M12 for lighter duty stuff and M18 for heavier duty stuff. I started years ago with Makita, but had some problems with the batteries - probably just bad luck. Then moved to Dewalt, which are good. I really like the options in the M12 and M18 platforms so have gone...

Need new M18 batteries. 5.0 or 3.0 HO?

I got them ranging mg from 2.0 to 9.0. Use the 9.0 in my vac most of the time. I mostly use 3.0 on drills and impact drivers. Use the 5.0 on sawzall. I recently picked up a 2.0 for the first time. Using that now on short jobs where I want to lighten the load. Example this weekend I was 10 feet...

Wire rope crimping/swaging hole sizes for aluminum ferrules

Hi all I want to use my hydraulic terminal crimper for wire rope ferrules but don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on dies. (The dies I have are hex shaped for electrical terminals). So I want to mill a set of dies to swage aluminum ferrules for wire rope diameters from 1/16” to 1/4”...

Upgrading casters on my Rigid shop vac

I thought I was going to have to do that but it ends up not. I bent the unistrut so that all four ends are flush with the shop vac base where the #10 machine screws bolt in. Since that is just inches from the casters, they are all level Sent from my iPhone using Garage Journal
