    Mystery tool

Well done guys, definitely wire fence stretcher, looks like it lost one of its springs along the way. Hopefully it won't have sold by the time the swapmeet comes around next Aug. Thanks all.

    1 = 3 screwdrivers

I found this nice little brass screwdriver at a second shop, while I was cleaning it up I realized there was a second driver hidden inside the handle. As I was setting it up to take the first 2 pics I found a 3rd inside the second drivers handle, too cool.

    Mystery tool

If anyone can identify this tool it would be you guys. I see it every year at a swapmeet I go to, no one has figured it out yet.

    Show off your vintage lathe.

Here is a Colchester Bantam Mk1 I finished this spring. This one is a keeper.

    What is it?

Under a magnifying glass I can make out RE-132 CAN88 stamped in, weighs 2-3lbs, found digging in the bark yard.

    The VISES of Garage Journal

I was skimming through this thread the other day and got inspired to give some love to my old 6" Record vise. I think I paid $40 thirty years ago at a garage sale, I mounted it on the bench and put it to work. I've pushed it pretty hard over the years but haven't had a problem with it yet. Now...

    Thor

This 1/2" Thor has been in regular use for the 25 odd years I've owned it. If the drill gets stuck this thing will rip itself right out of your hands.

Restoring a lathe threading diagram plate

Your tags came out very well as did your restoration on the Sidney, must be a joy to use. So it's really that simple, paint black and clean off the raised areas?

Restoring a lathe threading diagram plate

Restoring a Colchester Bantam at the moment and name, speeds and threading plates look a little worn out. I've seen some beautifully restored plates here on this forum and just wondering how this is done? I have a feeling these brass plates take some very specialize techniques but I would like...

    Standard power hacksaw

I'm pretty much done and have put it back to work, I still have to install new hoses from the pump to the reservoir. It is very quiet now that all the bushings and bearings have been replaced and the gibbs adjusted. The large C clamp is temporary until I can fabricate a new clamping washer to...

I think I found my winter project

The table on the drill press is 65lbs and more with the vise on top, my shoulders aren't what they were so I worked out how to motorizes it. It's not much to look at but it does work well, I tie wrapped the original crank to the back in case the next owner wants to go back, if I hadn't then it...

    Standard power hacksaw

I picked up this power hacksaw the other day but have not been able to find out much info on it. I bought it to cut all the metal for a 2"x72" belt grinding machine I'm building but now that is done I have time to tear it down a do a full rebuild. Made in Taiwan in 1983 but obviously a much...
