It's aluminum and off a kx250 dirt bike I can get access to a tig but not for a couple weeks and I need it sooner then that. I figured that was the best route but a buddy bought up brazing so I figured I would ask. Thanks for the replys
I picked up a blown motor with a small chunk missing from one of the case halves. Is it possible to braze this back shut and then machine it flat? Other ideas are welcome.:thumbup:
Nice looking bumper! IMO I would weld some Clevis mounts with aftermarket tow hooks on your bumper. It will be stronger and more reliable. I have seen many of the cast OEM hooks snap under a hard load witch is usually when you need them the most.:thumbup:
What about using safety wire? You will get the locking action without sacrificing any threads. You can use a jig to drill the hole and your good to go and don't have to worry about it ever coming loose:thumbup:
