I picked up a blown motor with a small chunk missing from one of the case halves. Is it possible to braze this back shut and then machine it flat? Other ideas are welcome.
It's aluminum and off a kx250 dirt bike I can get access to a tig but not for a couple weeks and I need it sooner then that. I figured that was the best route but a buddy bought up brazing so I figured I would ask. Thanks for the replys
It's hard to get a good idea of the damage from the pic. I've used JB weld and aluminum can material to patch some pretty good holes in cases caused by a broken chain. Good prep and it can work fine.
