    Wilton Vise Help!

1/74 is stamped on the slide. I have talked to the people at the Wilton tool corporation, and despite what many people say, the man at the Wilton corporation stated that this was made in 1969 and the stamp was the five-year expiration date. Just curious as to why you were asking about the date...

    Wilton Vise Help!

Looking for a spindle screw and handle for a 101033 or 9450. Mine is worn where the collar rides and I don’t know anyone that could weld filler and re-cut the space for the collar washer on a lathe. Anyone that has one for sale please let me know. Also need a thrust washer. Any help would be...

Wilton Bullet vise logo help and opinions

Thanks for the reply…I was going to use JB Weld for hammer marks if I decide to do it…I’m conflicted with making it smooth or leaving it as it gives character to it…that’s why I’m asking for people’s opinions.

Wilton Bullet vise logo help and opinions

Thank you very much. It has been bugging me for some reason because I have not seen any other vise with this logo. I’m sure they are out there. I just haven’t seen any in lots of online viewing. I swear they must’ve got the idea for Montréal Canadiens for their logo. Lol.

    Old Prentiss Vise

So, here are some pictures of my vise currently. I only get to work on the restoration when time allows if somebody could give me any advice as to how to remove the rust on the interior of the vise where the screw and slides go through. I would greatly appreciate it. Most of this has been done...

    Vintage Prentice Vise

So I’ve finally gotten around to tearing this old vise apart for restoration. If anyone can take a look at the pic and let me know how the screw comes out of the jaw on this old device so I can get to all the hard to reach parts to clean it would be much appreciate it. Just FYI I have looked...

    Old Prentiss Vise

New to this forum, and just started getting into vintage vises. This is a vise I just picked up and was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about it. As you can see, the number is not entirely legible I believe it is 941 (under Lewis Paent). I plan on restoring this would love to hear...
