    Opinions on floor drains

I am SO happy that I decided to put a drain in the floor in my garage addition. Love being able to wash the car inside (Seattle weather can be rough on the wash routine 10 months out of the year). Plumbed a hose bib into the wall there, and would do it all again. Only regret is not bringing a...

    Started My Toolbox!

Or recess the 6"/8" castors on the inside of the frame instead of underneath it. Would need some bracing/brackets to transfer the load, but should be plenty of ways to do that. -Sky

    Wanted: Unconventional Tool Storage Ideas

I like the ceiling hanging idea - if not that, then go to your local craft store and get some shadow boxes. Mount/hang some tools in there, and hang it on the wall as art. Like this: http://dannyseo.typepad.com/my_weblog/2008/07/kitchen-art.html but with tools. -Sky

Living in Seattle...

    MaxJax Column Spacing

Going to (hopefully) drill for post mounts Wednesday - any other comments on spacing from anyone before I commit? So far, every installation seems to be a success regardless of spacing (with the exception of one statement I can't find now about being too close to get the arms under without...

    U-CoatIt Install Problems (anyone else?)

Thanks for the feedback. We are trying to 'hide' things with a heavy broadcast of chips, locked in between a couple coats of clear (about $1000 in additional materials at this point, but better than sanding down to concrete and starting over). To answer some of the questions, the garage is 660...

    U-CoatIt Install Problems (anyone else?)

So my contractor just finished a U-CoatIt installation (sort of), but it is not great. The problem I think is in the U-CoatIt instructions, and I am trying to figure out if we are the only ones to experience this (thus indicating that it is likely our fault) or if this is a common problem (a...
