I would check NAPA and other local stores to find the closest store who sells and warranty their tools. Nothing better than taking a broken tool to a store 10 minutes away for no contest warranty replacement. Old Sears was great.... haven’t needed to warranty a tool in a long time.
Check out the Hakka Model # 980-V12/P. It’s a simple iron with a turbo button. Been soldering for years and found this to be a great go-to iron for a many wiring applications.
I searched and choose Ernst rails.... standup well and I like the twist lock. Yes, some take a twist or two to break in, but once used they hold well and twist off easy.
No concerns with leaving the lipo battery in hot car for days on end? Lipos seem to loose charge over few months, add the heat, concerned they may have a problem. Anything you can say about it’s ability to stay safe in a hot trunk throughout a summer?

Thoughts on DC motor, from what I understand to be brushless, powered ceiling fans? Expensive, but I sure love brushless motors in my power tools and they should run silent.
