I do the same type of things you do, and I picked up a Quincy QT5. It is an excellent compressor for blasting and other fabrication tools. I believe it will outlast me, and I'm 38. I would highly recommend it. It can be had for about $2000 bare bones or $3000 fully loaded.
I picked up this vise at an auction yesterday, and I can't find any info or pics of other Yost vises like it. It says "G.M. Yost Mfg. Co. Meadville PA 502" on the side. I know it is a sheet metal workers vise, but that's about all I know. The jaws measure 4 1/2" across. I would like to find out...
At 60 feet you could go with RG-6 direct bury flooded with 100% solid copper conductor. Don't get cable with a clad conductor for satellite. Stay away from RG-59 cable.
You can certainly use it. You will need a different pulley for the motor to bring the pump back to the rpm it was at previously. There are many useful pulley calculators on the internet that will be handy for figuring this out.
