I had a close call a few years ago that made me always wear eye protection. I was using a very large angle grinder to cut off a crossmember on my truck and I just got this nervous feeling. While I WAS wearing a face shield it just didn't feel like enough if something went wrong so I put on...
Here's my update:
I talked to several concrete specialists and companies that repair and apply epoxy products and the general consensus is to pour a new layer of concrete. Even though they won't get any business from me, that is what they all advise.
There are pros & cons with each method...
I don't know why the finishers didn't say anything. Maybe they thought I would just live with it. The concrete boss came to look at it and he saw it right away. The finishers probably told him I might complain.
Would a good solution be to grind down the high spot and then use a good quality...
The maximum difference is 1.75" I think the high spot is 1.25" higher that what it is supposed to be. The 3" would be minimum OVER the high spot. That woud be a thick pad!
The floor is flat and the walls are up. I put a double base plate in which should hold it but I don't know what else...
Hi all
I need some ideas. Here's the problem. I had my new shop floor poured in November and the concrete guys screwed up the level. It is mostly level until you get close to the big door then it is high by about 1.75". They said they would fix it in the Spring and so I built the shop as...
Nice Shop!
It gives me ideas for mine!
Do you have any problems with the heater being that close to the cabinets? I have the identical heater and it can get quite hot on the wall just below the refletor.
I haven't even finished building my shop and some **** broke the window trying to get in! The doors weren't even locked! I was probably home at the time to.
Therefore I decided to expand my home security into the shop and seperate it into a different partition. That way I could be...
I guess it depends on how cold I let it get when not in use. If I keep it reasonably warm then I really don't need to control it from the house but if I let it get cold it takes a long time to heat up. I would like to pre-warm it without running out there. It was very cold and windy out there...
I totally agree!
I bought my new house so I could put a shop in the backyard :rocker: I already had an attached double for the daily driver and bikes etc and a shed for lawn equipment.
I would have posted this in Heating/AC but it applies to anyone with a detached shop.
I have just finished insulating my 24x32 shop and I need to hook up my thermostat (it is a line voltage version) but I REALLY want to be able to monitor and adjust the temp from inside the house. Has anybody...
I regret even reading this thread. Is that a pun?
I had a bad experience with a Brown Recluse while on a trip to Huston. :scared: :willy_nil Now spiders make me run away screaming
I have used POR15 many times on my 4x4. The stuff is very durable but expensive. Some tips:
1) It says you can apply it over rust but I recommend removing it as best as you can first. It will stick better.
2) It is strange stuff, it cures in the presence of water so you should not paint...
