    Porta power rebuild guru's a ?

I did some further breakdown and found the check balls and springs..one spring is broke I believe. May be the problem as the nessary pressure on the balls will not be correct....I suspect.

    Porta power rebuild guru's a ?

I'll re check that piston hole to ensure I didn't miss a seal in the wall. But your observation of the black wear area would typically be created by an o ring. As for the check valve ect.. I suspect...the head assembly breaks down further...I just haven't figured that out yet. Specifically...in...

    Porta power rebuild guru's a ?

Can't get this porta power to develop pressure....nothing. I found 2 o rings and replaced them....I believe their correct.... but the notched piston that is moved with the lever......haw no provisions for a o ring...it just slips in its hole... I'm guessing mechanically the wall tolerances of...

    Identification of Arbor Press

Hopefully the sight of this press generates some additional information... I've looked pretty deep into the interwebs and found nothing on it. I've pictured some "landmark" details that may ID a Manufacturer. I have some damage that I'd like to contrast with how it use to be...hopefully I can...

Wire-up Mag Switch for 80gal Compressor

Thanks fitter.. 1. Coil wires for the contactor are on either side of the contacts. SO, my Mag switch has them on the side. I'm going to say that's confirmed. 2. The second part of your reply has me lost. I was asking what the red (most bottom) wires were routed to in the picture... I was...

Wire-up Mag Switch for 80gal Compressor

Need a GJ assist yall. While I do have a diagram to follow and the basic skills to do it safely...some aspects of my switch are not the same. So I'm hoping that a few may give me a second opinion on my assumptions. First. Need to confirm that my MAG "CAN" have it's coil terminals on the side...

Hey all... a wayward traveler from the past.. Ol Hounddog here. Thought I'd drop by and say hey! I've been splashing in the shallow end of the YouTube pond. It's been an interesting shift of attention for me so far. Still a lot to learn before I'll consider my channel viable, but I'm having fun...

    2017 Garage Sale Thread

I picked this up yesterday at an estate sale for a buck...didn't know what it was and still don't. The arrow (looking) working end is made from a sharpening stone. So I'd guess it's for some sharpening application...but what? Any thoughts?

    Hounddog's Workshop

Hey Don Thanks for the complement. The old welder was just tired. Wire would lag at times (may have needed a new liner) Some of the plastic pieces around the heat settings were cracking away...yada, yada, yada. I'm starting to take the hobby more seriously AND Momma said I could...so there's that.

Grumblebum...always good to see you drop by. I am very much looking forward to that new welder. I didn't have any complaints with the old one but it needed to move on. I'm hoping to "up" my game with welding an fab in the future and it's a step toward that goal. My space is a disaster at the...
