    Yet another size question...

Sorry if this is redundant but I've been researching for hours to no avail mainly due to all the conflicting info out there. I'm trying to source a LNG furnace for my shop. Three different companies gave me three different calcs for our shop and I can't see how they are so far off. All...

Norklad Epoxy and Acid Stain 5000sq'

Epoxy is down and pretty happy with it. We were a little thin at the beginning but it's not in a noticeable area. We also have some areas where it didn't lay down and you can see faint roller marks if you look close. Granted it was 85 degrees F at 10:00 in the morning the day we coated...

Norklad Epoxy and Acid Stain 5000sq'

Notes on Pre-Prime 167 (Things I couldn't really find online) - Bought 4 gallons expecting 400sq' coverage per gallon - we used 3. the shop is just a hair over 1600sq'. On smooth concrete it goes a LONG way! The Pre-prime smells but its not really noxious - just, odd. Kinda fruity kinda...

Norklad Epoxy and Acid Stain 5000sq'

Well, here it is. 5000 sq ft Steel building on a monolithic slab. 1/3 is shop 2/3 is house. The shop is getting Norklad 200 - Beige, no flake. The house is getting acid stained and sealed. We've been in a holding pattern for COVID awaiting our roll ups (4 months BTW for custom doors)...

    Epoxy-Coat or EpoxyMaster?

We just put down Devoe Pre-Prime 167 today and we are doing Norklad 200 tomorrow. The pre-prime is an easy roll on sealer/primer that promotes adhesion and fills all the little nooks and crannys. This is on a fresh troweled slab.

    New Garage Slab isnt level.

We just did a 5000 sq ft (50 x 100) monolithic pour and it's almost dead on flat. 50' power screed and 2 power trowels made sure of it. What was the ground prep like? Any chance the entire thing sunk an inch on the back side? Being hot just means you have to be quicker and the power...

    Power Distribution Question

You're right. I can see the valve next to the clamp in my head!

    Power Distribution Question

Pac Power is a little odd - their only other service area is Colorado. They do things a little old fashioned at times.

    Power Distribution Question

I was under the impression we needed a secondary ground for the 400a service bu I might be misremembering (been a while since I did service/distribution in a project). I will see if the PoCo has an issue with grounding the meter but if I don't need that rod I'll just ditch it. I put a call in...

    Power Distribution Question

We are in Oregon, sorry - updated that. It's possible he's on a different code year? we are still on 2017NEC and OESC but I don't see anything in there regarding disconnects.

    Power Distribution Question

Both disconnects are on the interior of the wall opposite the meter socket ~ 8" away

    Power Distribution Question

My regular inspector is out and the temp inspector is giving me grief on what the power company has approved. If anyone can look at this and tell me I'm not crazy or other thoughts would be helpful. The main issue is the inspector thinks we need a commercial combo meter socket. I don't want...

    Hedge Trimmer Shopping

I know you said Milwaukee.... Bought the Black and Decker 40v cordless on Amazon last year and I love it. Lasts a LONG time and is great for bigger properties. No more "cutting the cord"! Costs the same as a corded cutter.

    Above 1200 Sq/FT Doing things our way. 50x100 house/shop

Thanks for the thread. Was just passed on to me by a friend as we are building a similar setup and I have a few questions! We have the floor plans figured out but one thing that we haven't been able to find is the depth of the steel columns to finalize framing around them. Do you know the...
