    heating a metal shop

Every thing I hear and see, they all refer to spray, I just think that is such a permanent messure to take, once its on its on, to where as a roll or etc( other than spray) your pipes and walls can be worked on or removed or whatever, but if I have all that goop sprayed on, isnt that a permanent...

    heating a metal shop

Charles , excellent write up, I thought of doing something similar to your flapper design, flip closed when door down, I like some key points you used, like the conduit and rollers, I also didnt mention this was a short sale and things got looted, I think it took more work to remove than the...

    heating a metal shop

I am new at this sight, so far I think it rocks, I have seen some pretty tricked out shops/garages, got some real neat ideas and really enjoy seeing such a sight like this here, its amazing what some tackle and jobs performed. I am an auto technician, nearly 30 years, worked in some of the best...

    fuel pump current ramp

pressure will determine current ramp peak, low pressure pumps will run in range of 2-7 amps (9-13 psi) 50-60psi = around 12 amps, if your inductive low amp probe has an arrow , should be pointed towards flow of current and zero'd before clamping low amp reading would indicate worn...

I realize I'm new here but I would respectfully like to offer my humble suggestions

instead of comparing and getting upset of quality and price and or brand of tool, you just keep using what you feel comfortable with, if you feel it works, go with it, I know for a fact what works for me and what dont, under rigurous conditions the lower grade stuff , just dont cut the mustard...

Cheap 2 post lift Vs Bend Pack XPR10XC

I priced and compared many lifts before purchasing, I compared two , The rotary and bend pack, the rotary was way more money, I think around $5k by the time I purchased truck adapters and extended height , compared to the bendpack xpr10acx , there was a 2007 dually four door diesel four by four...

I realize I'm new here but I would respectfully like to offer my humble suggestions

well, I am going to jump in with my two cents on the **** verses quality band wagon, I have turned wrenches professionly for nearly 28 years, and there is more than just quality, I like a certain feel, the smoothness of a snap on wrench dont appeal to some but do to others , certain screwdrivers...

Do you grab your 1/4" ratchet first or 3/8"?

if i am busting an exhaust manifold loose and no room for air ratchet , Im sure not going to use a 1/4" ratchet, vise versa on a valve cover bolt, I dont want the bulkyness of a 3/8" I will opt for the 1/4, it all depends on job at hand.

    Pro's and Con's of 6-point wrenches?

12 point are more for looser bolts and can be used in shorter grabs of the bolt/nut and are generally used only for when the bolt is already loosened up, to where as a six point is better for loosening a tight fastener, it wont round the head like a twelve point will.
