    Looking for Shop Vac Recommendations

Should have bags wherever they sell vacuums, got mine at Home Depot. Bag will reduce the filter cleaning to ZERO, unless the bag breaks. A bag stopped drywall and concrete dust for me.

Insulating Garage Ceiling - Joists Unevenly Spaced

The thickness is fine, sounds like you have standard 2x6's which would be R19. If you are that worried about squishing them an inch on the width and some are wider, rather than cutting 1" off on some, and trying to add a 1" piece on the others, cut them in the middle but 0.5" off from center...

    Shed Insulation & Venting

I did 2 vents per channel. I worked out the sq in of the roof vents, and then made sure I had the equivalent or more in sofit vents. To cover the holes, I drilled a 2.5" hole, then took mesh screen cut into squares, placed it over the hole from the inside and pushed 2" black ABS pipe into it...

    Shed Insulation & Venting

for those saying no insulation is needed unless you have ac or heat, that is total BS. I just redid my detached garage, and when I was halfway done, I measured the temperature of the ceiling joists on the bottom, there was a huge temperature difference between the ones that had insulation and...

Not another "should I install my own subpanel" thread...

running the wire is the hardest part, the rest is pretty easy. Between a book and asking a couple questions here it can be done, unless you are uncomfortable doing it, then with no hesitation hire it out.

Lets talk ceiling fans for the shop

In your shop are you trying to use the fans to keep air moving or actually make a breeze so it feels cooler ? Just trying to keep air moving, buy a few home depot ceiling fans. If you want a breeze, I would seriously consider a Big *** Fan, they have them at work, and what is probably a 30ft...

Lets talk ceiling fans for the shop

14-2 will be sufficient for a regular fan. The bigger question is what size circuit breaker is on that circuit ? If its a 20amp breaker and assuming you are using Romex, then the wire is too small, need to go upto 12-2.

    TIG Welding Cart Design

I'd consider adding wheels in the back, rather than casters. For those times you need to go over an extension cord or big crack.

    Garage office space

x2 on the tape. If you have the furniture to layout even better. If not just use tape, but then put something like boxes at the corners at the correct height so you can get a feel what its like to walk around. You never get 0" away when walking next to something, but if you walk around tape...
