Building a DIY CNC Plasma Table....

Any updates? I just bought the plans this week. I already have all of the 2" steel needed for the frame. Planning on going ahead with the Z-axis from the start.

Tools to install valves into a Kellogg 211

Hello all, I am at my wits end trying to rebuild an old Kellogg American 211 compressor I inherited from my dad last year. I used that thing as a kid and have always loved it. When I first got it I knew that it was in need of some TLC and after calling around I found Air Flo Inc and ordered a...

    Vintage Air Compressors

I inherited an old mid 50's craftsman compressor with a single stage Kellogg 211 pump. I am rebuilding the head with all new valve parts that I have purchased. The issue is that I would like to put new rings in as we'll but it seems like the ring kit is no longer available. Are rings sort of...

    Craftsman 150 drill press rebuild

Made some good progress today. Sandblasted the base and discovered that my 1950's Craftsman compressor most likely needs some attention since it had a really hard time recovering. Luckily I had bought a top end valve rebuild kit for it last year when I inherited it from my dad along with this...

    Craftsman 150 drill press rebuild

I did in fact buy the 6202 x 5/8" bore. Thanks for the correction and the tip about a thin coat of oil on the shaft and the bore. Looking forward to getting this thing put back together. I am beginning to wonder if some of the play I was feeling in the chuck was due to the fit between the...

    Craftsman 150 drill press rebuild

I did get sealed bearings. I picked up: 2 6205zz 2rs (pulley bearings) 2 6202 2rs (quill bearings) I am actually asking about whether the races that these bearings fit into should be greased. Not the bearings themselves since they are already sealed. Thanks, Troy

    Craftsman 150 drill press rebuild

I am starting to rebuild a Craftsman 150 drill press that I inherited from my dad last year. There are a couple of threads with very details photos showing how the unit comes apart. It was really very easy to get it completely disassembled in about 25 minutes. I have the unit completely...

Craftsman 150 drill press head unit disassembly (pic heavy).

I really appreciate the help guys. I am a fairly proficient WW but am a bit leary of somehow fouling up these old tools that mean a lot to me. Am I right in thinking that the larger snap ring below the bottom pulley bearing just keeps the pulley from dropping down any further. It almost seems...

Craftsman 150 drill press head unit disassembly (pic heavy).

I will look through that thread. Thanks for posting it. Yep. Called sears to verify what I was seeing on the screen. Their picture that goes along with the parts list is basically worthless. It is a very low res scan of an exploded parts diagrams. I downloaded a manual I found in a thread...

Craftsman 150 drill press head unit disassembly (pic heavy).

Hi Guys, I have a Craftsman 150 table top model (103.24520). I just inherited it from my dad who has had it since it was new. He used the heck out of it and I would like to give it a good refurb. Even without extending the chuck, I can feel some movement and some knocking sound toward the...
