    New tools from Japan! Sunflag & Asahi

    Frank can get all kinds of stuff not on his site. The site is kind of a work in progress, and he has been busy with his real job lately. Best bet is to e-mail him. He responds quickly, and can usually send pics or links.

    New tools from Japan! Sunflag & Asahi

    Wrenches... I have a set of USA Mac combination wrenches that were my go-to wrenches when I was a tech full time. I also have a set of Snap-On flank drive combination wrenches. Honestly, I think the Snap-Ons are better, but I always grabbed my Macs... I think I bought them first and sort of...

    New tools from Japan! Sunflag & Asahi

    Dave, I got them both mainly just to have something different in my toolbox. I have some sunflag scrapers which have similar handles to the 205-S screwdrivers, so I knew I would like them. The 888's actually were much nicer than I thought they would be. They feel... "heavier" I guess than I...

    I just stumbled across the website looking at some things, and was struck by the logo.

    Sata = matco?

    Just curious, I get the parent company thing, and same owners. Just noticed they use the same little logo, and found that sort of odd. Are Matco and Sata the same price-point and quality? http://www.satatools.com.sg/site/?m=100&f=100

    Tiny tools!

    check with frankstools for asahi... I "think" he can get them. He does have access to more than Koken and he is great to deal with. I have made a few different orders with him. He may be slow (couple of days) to respond right now, with all that is going on in Japan.

    the Nepros brand hand tool thread

    Heard from Eri today (had been waiting on some back-ordered pliers), maybe they will have a website back up by the end of this month. Here is what she told me: Thank you for your e-mail. We hope to finish it at the end of this month but since we have not heard from the website company, I guess...

    Tools from the old world

    Just got my first Hazet order in from Jens! He was great to deal with and my order got here fast! Excuse the crappy cell phone pics... Thanks Jens! (I dealt with him direct rather than through ebay)

    Advice? Sell off first set of tools to upgrade?

    I sold the majority of my tools when I left the field 8 or 9 years ago... I was low on funds, and having to rent a storage building just to keep them in. I got about .20 on the dollar, but figured I wasn't really using them anyway. Now, I have my own home and miss working on things, so I am...
