What did you do "IN" your garage today?

I like the idea of the inside patch. I'll have to wait and see once I get the pan dropped. I'm a crappy welder, but I have a friend I can probably talk into doing the welding for me.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

I was going to take it off and look, but I suspect that there is a lot of corrosion inside the pan. It may be unfixable

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Took the 1955 Pontiac Star Chief to a car show and it started leaking oil. Got it back home after the show and found a pin hole in the oil pan. So I spent the day trying to find the correct oil pan for a 55. I found some possibilities. I also tried to figure out the correct paint color...

Who makes sockets that are labeled crescent

Apex Tool Group is the manufacturer of Crescent so it's neither. Apex owns GearWrench so they are possibly the same. I see WWheeler answered above. So same.

    Let's See Your Garage Dog

Meet Obie (Obi-Wan Kenobeagle). He came to us at the end of November 2022. He thinks the garage is too cold right now to hang out it in. Obie was a stray from Alabama and ended up with a rescue in Minnesota. This old dude is such a friendly dog we wonder how he ended up in a shelter. He's...

    Tempo WP Asian Lady bugs.

Temp WP is similar to the what the pest control people use here. It's a type pyrethroid which is a synthetic version of chrysanthemum based insecticides. Does a good job on these little things. Works on the box elder bugs too. Nice thing is it's not toxic to people or pets. It's supposed...

Internet router or access point for shop?

If that is the closest grounding location that will work. There shouldn't be a problem running a ground wire in the conduit. Maybe an electrician will tell me if I'm wrong. Sent from my SM-G970U using The Garage Journal mobile app

Internet router or access point for shop?

I see this was posted earlier. You'd want to put an ethernet surge protector inline. It's not going to protect you from a direct hit but it will help with a surge. Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00805VUD8/?tag=atomicindus08-20

Harbor Freight 60 Gallon Air Compressor 93274

The manual says change the compressor oil after the first hour of use to remove any debris. Or are you asking the maintenances schedule (on page 14 of the manual) says Every 6 months or 100 Operation Hours: Replace Pump oil.

Mud jacking vs poly (foam)... which one?

 That's basically the conclusion I came to after researching it for my situation.

Mud jacking vs poly (foam)... which one?

Been lurking around for awhile. Just from researching if I wanted to jack a settling slab in a garage. Mudjacking will be cheaper than poly. If you had voids under your driveway poly will fill those better. Mudjacking will require bigger holes in the surface of the driveway. Mudjacking has...
