Cutting a Propane Tank - Best Gas Detector?

I had a 100 gallon tank I made into a smoker. I removed all the valves and let it set outside for several months and filled it with water and let it drain. I rolled it over to a brush pile and caught it on fire. It flared out of the holes I removed valves on for awhile, but it was completely...

    Deer butchering tools?

I just got one on sale with the replaceable razor blade and used it on one deer and a couple of hogs. It's good, but I still use a lot of garage sale old carbon steel butcher knives. I keep several around when I butcher so I don't have to stop and sharpen knives.

How Much Have You Spent On The Snap-On Truck Thus Far?

Probably 20k. Have a contract job now where tools are provided. Guys who work for me have way more. They have tried to sell them as a unit for garage sale prices and no one bites . I plan on keeping mine for my son but my coworkers have no one to leave them too. Have had my wife's family...

Strut compressor that wont kill me

Loaded struts are the way to go because your springs and mounts are probably worn too, and if you shop around they are not that much more expensive. I just did all four struts on my wife's stratus and it was a lot faster and safer without an expensive compressor.

Help Identifying a Vintage Blackhawk Toolbox

No, not for sure, I repainted it with Rustoleum hammered black. When I stripped it I could tell it had been repainted before, but it looked like it was originally black.

Help Identifying a Vintage Blackhawk Toolbox

I have that same box with most of the tools it came with. My wife's uncle gave it to me a few years ago before he passed away. It was his fathers who he said bought it when he did maintenance on a truck fleet in the 30's.

Bendpak or Challenger lift. Which would you pick?

I bought an E10 Challenger about a year and a half ago. I think I paid just a little over $3200 for it then. So far I have been happy with it and have lifted 3/4 ton Chevy diesels a few times and it felt safe. I bought mine because it fit under my low ceiling.

let's see your craftsman block grinders

I have a 3/4 hp block grinder that I found when cleaning out junk at work. The old timers here said it was taken out of service about 15 years ago because it was slow to start. I took it home and plugged it in and it hummed until I touched the wheel and then it started working. I has run good...
