Recommendations for fix the hole in my ductwork???

If you want to ensure a water/air tight seal, stop by an HVAC supplier and pick up some duct sealer. It's like heavy duty chalking for ductwork.

    Drill Differences

The internal parts of your milwaukee are probably metal or magnesium, which gives it that better balance and feel. The PC probably has more plastic components.

Paranoid newbie needs your advice (dont want to blow myself up)

I just am in the process of insulating my small 20x25 2 car garage. To heat the space up while I work, i picked up a small LP forced air heater. I have some gas cans that I will be moving out of the garage. I currently have a old jeep that I am learning on in the same space. I dont have any...

Hanging Large Wreath on Chimney....how to secure?

How would you secure a large 48" + wreath to a chimney? I live in the northeast, so my biggest problem is the wind, and another minor problem is the chimney angle. I need to hang the wreath on a corner in order to face the street. Anyone have ideas? I was thinking on using the hammer drill to...

$100 to spend at HD. What tool would you pick up?

I got a return credit and am not sure what to get. If someone handed you a $100 HD credit that you could only use on tools (i just want a tool, heh). What would you get? :)

What's your opinion on the Ridgid superclamp?

Got this a couple of days ago and I am thinking about returning it. I dont know if it's really 160.00 worth of help. Aside from time saving over saw horses, are there any benefits you see from having one of these in the shop? http://www.ridgid.com/superclamp/

    estimating

There's really no better way than to sit down and think about it. Use something that you can customize. I recommend excel. Every garage has different needs, and you may miss something costly looking for a one size fits all planning solution.

    DIY oil change VS. dealership

My reasoning is the oil. I like putting full synthetic in everything I own. My wife's GTI is particularly picky on that VW 502.00 stuff. Castrol full synth for Euro seems to be the only stuff it likes. Whenever i've taken it in for a top notch, full synth oil change, it never feels right. The...

Can someone recommend some starter air tools?

Just finished fixing up an older devilbiss 25 gal upright. It's rated at 5hp and 5.8 CFM @ 90 PSI. Could someone recommend me a impact wrench and ratchet to start out with? I'd like to keep it budget friendly if possible.

    Sealing OSB workbench top?

Stuff is so cheap, its probably not worth sealing. Maybe rub some wax, but i wouldnt bother sealing.

    Compressor? good buy?

The home depot gets my vote. For the money, i don't think it can be beat in its price range. In store, that compressor the same price (399) for a new one. It was just lowered from 439. Add about 80 bucks shipping, and you can get a no hassle delivery with a company that has tons of locations...
