If you liked tiles for insulation but need something stronger, you might consider NORSK-Stor tiles. They're made from PVC instead of the rigid plastic so they would probably hold up better with your floor jacks.

Might check out NORSK-Stor tiles http://www.garage-flooring.com. They are made from PVC instead of rigid plastic so they are super dense. That would solve both your look and performance issues.
